who traveled from Beijing to Moscow in June 2000.

Within 15 days you will have an unique chance to travel across Siberia, Mongolia and China, to visit Moscow, Kasan, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Ulan Bator and Beijing. You will be able to see the lake Baikal, as well as ancient relics, architectural and cultural sights.
After passing the Mongolian-Chinese border, in a small frontier town Erlian (China) our guests will change the train and continue their trip to Beijing on board the most comfortable train in China - "China Orient Express".

The tour program.

1st day Afternoon accommodation on board. Departure from Moscow. Welcome dinner in restaurant cars.

2nd day

Arrival in Kasan. City tour: Kremlin, the Qol-Sarif mosque, the Governor's House. In the afternoon a boat ride on the River Volga. Evening departure to Ekaterinburg.
3rd day Arrival in Ekaterinburg. City-tour: an excursion to the obelisk - virtual border between Europe-Asia, visit of the Cathedral on the Blood.
4th day Arrival in Novosibirsk. Excursions to Akademgorodok - the Russian "Silicon Valley", geological museum.
5th day Arrival in Krasnoyarsk. City-tour: a boat cruise on the Yenisej.
6th day Arrival in Irkutsk. City-tour: the old town, market, Ethnographical Museum, a privat classical concert.
7th day The rest on Lake Baikal and in Listvianka village. Excursion program.
8th day Arrival in Ulan-Ude - capital of Buriatia. City-tour.Visit of the Buddhism Center in Russia.
9th day Arrival in Ulan-Bator. City tour: the Gandan Monastery , the central Sukhabaatar Square, the Bogd Khan Museum. In the evening cultural and dance show. Overnight in the hotel.
10th day* City tour: an excursion to the Terelj National Park.
11th day Arrival in Erlian (Chinese frontier). Transfer on board the "China Orient Express". Late evening arrival in the city of Datong. Overnight in a hotel in Datong.
12th day City-tour in Datong: the Yungang Caves, the Nine Dragon Screen. Afternoon transfer to "Chine Orient Express". In the evening arriving in Beijing. Accomodation in a hotel in Beijing.
13th day Beijing. The large excursion program including visits: Imperor Palace ("Forbidden City"), Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven. A farewell dinner in a famous Beijing duck restaurants.
14th day Beijing. Morning at leisure. Flight home.

                     *July - Travel: 1 day longer - to visit the buddhist folkfestival "Naadam" in Mongolia.

  The "Nostalgie Istanbul Orient Express" ( NIOE)
NIOE was created in Belgium in 1883. It was considered to be a triumph of scientific thought. Francis-Joseph (Austria-Hungary), Carol the First (Romania), Queen Elisabeth II (United Kingdom), French President Charles de Gaulle, famous Marlene Dietrich and Jean Marais, well-known writers Honore de Balzak, Ahatha Christie (novel "Murder in the Orient Express"),Graham Green and Mata-Hari were passengers of historical train. 
In 1993 the famous express came to Russia. Not only interior restoration and change of bogies were made but all equipment and technical systems were modernized.
Today "The Train of Kings and The King of trains" is a comfortable" "grand-on wheels-hotel, which can consist of :
8 sleeping cars for 120 persons with single and double compartments; 2 unique dining cars ("Russian style", 96 seats) with famous NIOE cuisine; historical Pullman car(restaurant,24 seats), and bar-car with life music; 2 diesel cars with autonomous electric motors; shower car; staff cars; club car (60 persons) for dancing, seminars, banquets, creative meetings etc.
